A 9th grade student from Honduras enrolls in school with papers from the Office of Refugee Resettlement stating that she is an unaccompanied minor; however, she does not have transcripts. She is being resettled with an older brother that has been living in the United States a long time and whom she has never met. In recent years, there has been a lot of violence in Honduras, particularly in San Pedro Sula, where this student is coming from. School is obligatory in Honduras from pre K to 6th grade; however, there is no free public education.
